Can you Fix VHS Tapes & How to Repair Video Tapes

Damaged VHS tapes can be repaired, if your video tape no longer works, if the video cassette tape looks physically warped or the actual tape is snapped, they can all be fixed.

For physically warped looking video tapes that no longer play, all you need to do is transfer the internal tape and spools over to another new VHS tape cartridge and the VHS tape will work again, if that’s a little complicated you can bring your VHS tapes to Works Perfect and we can do the video tape swap into a new cassette cartridge case, we charge $25.00 for that service.

Also if the video tape is snapped and requires a splice to joint the tapes back up together you will have to pull the tape cartridge apart, spool some of the tape out, cut the tape so they are evenly aligned, overlap the tape by no more than 2mm and sticky tape the tapes together on the inner side of the tape. if that’s a little complicated you can bring your video tapes to Works Perfect and we can do the video tape swap into a new cassette case, we charge $20.00 for that service.
